It was lunch time and Margaret told me to go downstairs and save some meatballs for sandwiches. We had spaghetti the night before and there were like, six meatballs left. Anyway, I went downstairs and got them and then went only to the bottom of the stairs to tell her to come down and get some. This is how that went:
"Miss Margaret Hale!!" I scream up the stairs.
"I'M NOT RESPONDING TO THAT!!" She screams back from somewhere in the bedroom. She seemed annoyed that I called her that. Haha.
So then I try something else.
"MRS. JOHN THORNTON!"
I hear next, "AUUUGHH! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"
I laughed and laughed so hard because she responded to that and not to "Miss Hale."
I dunno, she's got her first name going for her anyway. Whereas, the only old fictional character I know who's name is Anne is Mr. Darcy's cousin. They were like, engaged (apparently, unbeknownst to the both of them) and he ended up marrying Lizzy.
I SHALL DIE ALONE!!! AAHWHWHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
~~Anne~~
I always felt sorry for Anne de Bourgh, though. With a mother like that, you kind of had to be sorry to her.
ReplyDeleteAny woman who would NOT respond to, "Mrs. John Thornton," is clearly out of her mind. XD
