Things that feed interests...

...that may have already become obsessions...

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to the mall with my sister and mother for their birthday trip. Reasons being that their birthdays are so close together that we celebrate them both on the same day. And every now and then, it’s fun to have a girl’s day out!

I ended up buying two books from this book store. Them being: The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King. I now own The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, and those two!

I had also purchased two music albums last week. Both of them Josh Groban related. The first one, was bought a day after it came out. All That Echoes is his new one. Then I got his Awake album because I love February Song to death and back…They are both stupidly AWESOME! FANTASTIC! STUPENDOUS! GREAT! WONDERFUL! AMAZING! ...Looking for synonyms for Awesome… TREMENDOUS  REMARKABLE! INCREDIBLE! Yeah…All that AND a bag of Chips ;) *wink*

THEN! I got this HUGE sketch book that I am going to fill with sketches of Gaara and Zuko…That’s probably what it will end up being filled with…Even if not intentionally…

~sigh~

Well, a couple weeks ago, I had the troubling project of finding a birthday present for my sister. I came up with these little cuties down below. I have to be honest here; the Gaara and Bolin pins are mine. But they were just too cute to pass up! I see the Kakashi one coming to join their little family at some point soon. THEN there were the ones for my sister: the Shikamau Nara one, and the Howl one, of course. The Howl one was bought from a different seller, but all of these buttons were from a lovely little place called ETSY!

THIS IS MY FAVVVVVORITE!!!!!

You can find IcyPanther's shop here. And then Zelas shop: here.

YAY ETSY!!!

Oh! By the way, my new favorite song is called I Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Michael Buble. Blast that baby up to maximum sound in the morning and your day will be excellent. Trust me. His music style reminds me of the musical styling of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy…Again, could listen to his music all day!

There was just one more post for today…

Quote of the day?

“Riddle me this, why did I meet you amongst the garbage?”

Guess who?

Answer will be given soon.

Let’s have some fun!

Disney Funnies because of a bad mood--

Okay, so I turned on Josh Groban, listened to his angel-of-a-voice, and then I felt better. But by then, I had already found some pictures that I thought were worthy of being blogged...

A Fergus GIF because we all love him. Lol. This was probably the best part of BRAVE ...LOL
Mater's attempt at McQueen's KA CHOW...BEST. THING. EVER.
Another Mater funny...
TRUE.TRUE. TRUE.

Honestly, I say these words every day of my life. Every day. I kid you not.

Well, I can't take credit for making any of these, but I can take some of the glory because I googled  them. LOL\.

I feel better now.
Thank you.

A Rant and…Something That Rhymes with Rant I guess…

Hello.

I apologize for not giving any love to either of my blogs. The internet was out and a guy had to come to fix it. It still isn’t working that well.

Anyway, this post today will basically be the Pros and Cons of my week. All in one paragraph or less! And the rant I suppose…

Well! I watched Batman Begins for the first time and I was really pleased with it. Christian Bale sounded more like Christian Bale than Batman—which is awesome, I have mentioned it before—and I guessed right when I said, “Wow, that guy standing next to him in that prison cell sounds a lot like Aslan.” I was RIGHT! It was Neeson! It was awesome because two of my favorite voice actors were in the same room! I was also right when I said that the Butler Alfred sounded like Finn McMissle from Cars 2, because it is! We were watching Season 2 of Merlin—my sister and I have only been in touch with this show since Season 4. We love it to death and back—and there was a guy on their called Cedric. Sitting there staring at him for the majority of the episode, I finally shout, “HE LOOKS LIKE RAGETTI!!!” And it was Mackenzie Crook. This Guy:---------------------------------------------------------->
Mackenzie Crook Picture
AND I WAS RIGHTTTTT!! Again. I was so happy. I am also happy because Merlin will be on tonight. Yay!

My rant includes these topics:

Merlin is coming down to its last season. That’s what I have heard. Now, Merlin is about the only good thing on TV at this time. Save Jeopardy and eh, yeah, Wheel of Fortune..until The Legend of Korra comes back…of course.

THERE WILL BE A SEVENTH STAR WARS!!!!!! WHY WOULD THIS BE A BAD THING!?! WELL, I DON’T THINK THAT GEORGE LUCAS WILL BE DIRECTING IT. THIS IS WHAT THE INTERNET SAID. WHY AM I SHOUTING?! Now, I don’t know for sure if this is true. As far as I know, they don’t have a director yet. But in my personal opinion, if it ain’t George Lucas, it ain't Star Wars.

Like, “If it ain’t Vorpal, it ain’t dead.” –A quote from Alice in Wonderland.

Um, another thing…Cars 2 is a strange, strange thing. More to come considering that the library’s copy was too scratched to watch.

One last thing of the week, something I found on a website. Actually, I was there--watching it--on tv--when this boy did this. And I thought it was EPIC! I was so happy that this guy won. I had been watching the Teen Jeopardy this year from the very beginning, and I was so glad when Leo made it to the championships. Now, I think it would have been fine if Niali—I think that’s how his name is spelled—won. But Leo’s attitude was awesome. That was the best episode of the whole Teen tournament. See— CLICK HERE

And then, on the same site, there is a video of Goats screaming like people. It is amazingly awesome...My Dad sent it to me :D

Okay then, I am done now. Thanks for listening. Heh.

The Lord of the Rings: A new favorite ♥

I had finally gotten to that place on my to-do list where it says, “See the entire trilogy of The Lord of the Rings movies.” I had wanted to see them for a long time, and about a week ago, I finished the third one for the first time. The ending was bittersweet for me. Mostly because I love Frodo and it was sad to see him leave. But I loved how Arwen and Aragorn got married, and when the Hobbits got back to The Shire, Sam got married. There is a small soft place in my heart for things like that. I guess that’s why I watch the Valentine Day movies on Hallmark Channel…

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) Poster   The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) Poster                       The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) Poster

Anyway, the first time we saw a Hobbit was in the beginning of the first movie, The Fellowship of The Ring. The Hobbit was Frodo Baggins. When we (being my sister and I) saw him, we were both like, “whoa.” His eyes were so incredibly blue, it was fantastic. Then we got Gandalf the Gray, who was amazing. He was an instant favorite for me, and I still can’t figure out why. When he—stopping for spoilers—fell somewhere during the middle of the film, I honestly gasped. I thought that he had surely died. And I was devastated!

The Fellowship consisted of Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin, who were all Hobbits. Pippin being my favorite of course, I think because of his accent. It was cute when he was asking Merry if Aragorn—who at that point was Strider—if he was aware of “second breakfast.” If I can find the real quote, I will post it. Got it ;)

Aragorn: Gentlemen, we do not stop 'til nightfall.
Pippin: What about breakfast?
Aragorn: Gentlemen, we do not stop 'til nightfall.
Pippin: What about breakfast?
Aragorn: You've already had it.
Pippin: We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast?
[Aragorn turns and walks off in disgust]
Merry: I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Pip.
Pippin: What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he?
Merry: I wouldn't count on it.

The other members including Aragorn, Legolas—who is an Elf, a pretty awesome one—and then Gimli, who was a Dwarf, and then Boromir, who was the son of a King. I only figured that out during the last movie when Gandalf—yes! He came back! I was soooo happy!—told the King about his death. Gandalf was also on the team, but was temporarily out of it for quite some time. He was found again in the second one, The Two Towers.

By then, however, Frodo and Sam were on their way to Mordor by themselves, until they met Gollum, who was actually Sméagol! Sméagol is really creepy to me, but I was sad for him because he was constantly fighting with his mind.

All in all, I think that the last one was my favorite. They were all fantastically wonderful, so it’s hard to choose. I am going to read the original novel as soon as I can. I have it sitting on my shelf right under The Hobbit. I am going to read that one first though. The movie for The Hobbit came out and I cannot wait to see it! I have seen costumes and screenshots and it looks amazing! It’s going to be awesome to be able to see how Bilbo got the ring; in movie form of course…I think there is going to be another Hobbit movie called There and Back Again; which is the name of the book that Bilbo was working on.

Soooooo…That’s what I have been doing lately. Watching movies and now I am trying to learn how to write in Elvish. (I love how Microsoft Word doesn't spell-check Frodo or even Sméagol…^.^)

 ***
In other news, I have learned that Karen Witemeyer has a new book coming out this summer! It’s called Stealing the Preacher and we get Crockett’s point of view! I had always wondered how Short-Straw Bride—which I have just finished for the second time—would have been like if Crockett had been the one to marry Meredith. I have a feeling that this new one is going to be awesome. I have finished Head in the Clouds a couple weeks ago, and now I have To Win Her Heart on hold at the library again. I guess that’s what you do when you have a favorite author—of that genre of books—you read them all over and over again. Again, I am SO excited! Clicky here for her book site.

Other books that I have tried to accomplish would be Crookedstar’s Promise by Erin Hunter. It’s a Super Warriors Edition. So far it has been really good. It must be somewhat easy to write something with a familiar character in it. Rather than starting from scratch with a new character.

The story, in the beginning, follows this kit called Stormkit, but an accident with a slippery rock inspired his new name. He had broken his jaw and his mother had Hailstar rename him. My first thought was, “Dang, Rainflower, you are a cruel mother.” Basically, for a long time, she disowned him. Paying more attention to her other kit, Oakkit.  His kit name then became Crookedkit, then Crookedpaw. I haven’t gotten to the point in the story where he receives his Warrior name, but I know from reading Bluestar’s Prophecy, that his Warrior name is Crookedjaw. He had joked about that during a gathering when he had first met Bluepaw.  This was an older age of the Clans, back in the day of Pinestar of Thunderclan, and Hailstar of RiverClan.  Not too long before Bluestar took over, but it was some moons before Rusty (Fireheart) joined ThunderClan. Honestly I think Firestar is the best Clan leader ever, but that’s because he is my favorite. I am now getting off track…

Anyway, what I was trying to get too is that I do own Bluestar’s Prophecy and I had torn it from the bookshelf when Crookedpaw began talking to Bluepaw at a Gathering.  It was so cool because I was reading the same scene, but in two different POVs. For the writing geek in me, it was amazing.  It was kind of like that when I was reading Yellowfang’s book. That book ended with Yellowfang being banished from ShadowClan, in which she wandered into ThunderClan territory. That’s when Firepaw had found her and took her back to ThundeClan’s camp. I think that that may have been the middle of the first or the second Warriors books from the first series group.

All the first 5 books of the Warriors series were in Firepaw’s view. ~sigh~ It has been a while since I have read those, but I had read those 5 about 3 times for each book. I have read the second group of books twice, and surprisingly, I had only read the third group once or twice. There are a few books from the fourth group that I haven’t read yet…Then some super editions, and then I think I have read them all! I think I have read 4 of the Super ones…Firestar’s being my favorite…There was a lot of Sandstorm drama in that one. Heh…Awesome book, nonetheless.

Well, I have pretty much blogged myself out for today. Except I have one more thing to say.

With a second of thinking from my sister, we have come to the conclusion, that Ed Sheeran, must be a Hobbit. Yes.

Ah yes.

Taylor Swift as Rapunzel!

Well, my sister had heard on the radio that Taylor Swift was going to dress up as Rapunzel from Disney's Tangled. (Awesome movie by the way, the Art book for it is stupendous as well.) And she sent me a picture of it. I thought it was amazing. It wasn't what I expected at all. I thought she would have been in a costume that looked more like the character, but the way her dress looked worked perfectly! Now, I don't know why she did it--whether is be for a cause or such--but she sure rocked it. :D

Taylor Swift, Disney's Rapunzel

I wonder how they got the doves to stay there. Talented doves ^.^

Enjoy your evening :D I will probably end up drawing Bolin...*raises hand* ...again.

Okay, so it's past tomorrow.

I didn't get the chance to do much on the Blogging world on Sunday. I don’t quite remember what I was doing, but I obviously wasn't blogging.

Today I had a BUNCH of things to show here. It will probably be more videos than words, but I am tired and I need to watch videos. Haha.

My Dad showed me this a couple days back, and I have been meaning to blog it since then. If the video works, its hilarious. Very awesome prank!

This is Adele's Music video for Rolling in the Deep. Now that I have actually seen it just now, it is very unusual. There is like a samurai in there or something...Anyway, since I had seen this picture below, I haven't been able to hear that song, or sing it, with the right lyrics. Fanart is fun :D

~Sigh~

Well, that's all the blogging I got in me right now. Lol

Goodnight world.

Something quick until tomorrow.

I won't start this post off with some cheesy repeating-of-words because I saw Nan Kelly do that last night on GAC's Top 20. Just because today is Groundhogs day doesn't mean that we have to repeat everything like in the movie. I know I am no fun, but I am not convinced that (from what I have heard) that spring is coming any time soon. For it is snowing outside. And it is supposed to keep snowing until Monday or so.

That's all I have to say about it. :D
Have a nice day now.

Uh, it's 5:55 AM?!

Okay, so, I really don't understand why I am up this early. Like, it is unnatural....So I am spending my time listening to A Thousand Years  By  Christina Perri and looking up images of Tobi from Naruto Shippuden. It's not a horrible way to spend free time on the computer. ~Chuckles~ Tobi with a lightsaber...classic.

The Secret World of Arrietty and other fancies.

I am not motivated to do anything right now. Can’t draw, can’t read. I am not even motivated enough to take a nap… So I threw a load of laundry into the washer, grabbed my laptop and now I am sitting on the couch watching a show about these guys who make Beer…And also, I am blogging about recent movies I have seen.

The Secret World of Arrietty, a Studio Ghibli film.

I saw this movie for the first time last Thursday, and—I know that I give all their things huge credit, but that’s because they deserve it—I loved it! Shaun reminded me of Haku (Spirited Away) and Arrietty reminded me of Sophie (Howl’s Moving Castle) when she was young. I have yet to watch it in its original Japanese, but I have to say, the English voices worked. I was very much surprised at that. Not because I doubt Disney’s ability to find awesome voice actors, I mean, casting Christian Bale as Howl was probably the best thing they ever did...It’s just, I knew Bridgit Mendler and David Henrie from Disney Channel; Bridget being from Good Luck Charlie, and David being from Wizards of Waverly Place. Honestly I liked Wizards, but not so much GLC…

Anyway, I kind of went off a cliff there, I’m going to get back to my original thought.

Henrie did a great job. I loved it. Honestly. Shaun is this sickly young boy and he captured that perfectly. At the end of the movie, I am almost in tears because I feel so bad for Shaun. But that is the point of movies right? Each movie gives you a different emotional experience…He was just so so sad. And we love him. It was a true "awwwwww" moment when he gave her the sugar cube back.

Mendler, now, the first words that came out of her mouth, well I would have done them differently. But throughout the movie, you became comfortable with it, and it worked very well for Arrietty.

Carol Burnett and Moises Arias were in this movie as well. It was obvious, from the first word that Carol’s character said, that it was her. And Moises, well he had maybe, one or two lines. But he still did a good job. Will Arnett, and all the other voice actors did an awesome job as well. I only mentioned the ones that I was familiar with and their work. But, that only means that I know them. It has nothing to do with how well everyone else did. They all did an awesome job!

The animation, I won’t have to rave on about because I already have—a couple times I think. They never seem to let me down. Haha. I believe that some of the artists are trained in Oil Panting…I learned this when reading The Art of Spirited Away. I just loved it all. All of it. ~sigh~

Tonight I am going to watch Ponyo. I had seen this, back in 2009 I think it was…But that is another post…

Oh, I also wanted to wish my brother a HAPPY BIRHTDAY! He got a hamster for his birthday—below.

I call the hammy “Doughy” but I guess the name that he is thinking about Bonzu Pippinpaddle-Oppsokopolis…The name Aang used when he went to Omashu.

Now I am tired. Maybe I will take a nap now...

Until later,

Natsu

Frustration.

Ugh. Ugh. Ya know, I absolutely can't stand GREAT Naruto Cosplay. You want to know why? BECAUSE IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY AND EXCITED!! Then I want to buy a couple wigs and go to a Convention...Ugh. But kudos to all ya'll awesome cosplayers...I will be going to a convention some day soon. Even if it kills me.

Oh, so New Year's exercise idea? So far, no go. And I am actually really bummed out. But it is so cold out of the house and that is were the treadmill is. The ceilings are two low to jump rope in the house, and I...kind of like Ice Cream...I tried to get like a Rock Lee attitude about it. Saying that I would lose those holiday pounds. I have a motivation now. COMIC CON 2013!!

Well, I have to because I have nothing else to say for today. I am going to draw a picture for a friend and I need to do Sai research. Meh...Not that it isn't enjoyable...BLEH.
