So, it's almost eleven o'clock and Margaret and I are talking. I am half falling asleep and we get to the subject on favorite names. Conversation being,
"I like the name David," I say.
"Yeah, I don't think it's my favorite, but yeah," Margaret replies.
"Yeah." I say. "Though it could just be that I adore David Tennant."
And Margaret is like, " David. John. McDonald."
(For those who don't know, McDonald is David's real name. xD)
Somehow, we ended up wondering about actor's middle names.
Then, a few minutes of silence pass and then I grab my glasses and say, "Come on, let's go look it up."
And here we are!
Results!
Benedict Cumberbatch, when looked up, is Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch. I thought this was kinda neat 'cause my kid brother's name is Timothy.
Then we came to Tom Hiddleston, and GEEZ OH MAN GUYS! Could his name be any more...dapper! Thomas William Hiddleston. Like, it's the perfect middle name for this guy. It's like a prince. Prince Thomas William Hiddleston. *shivers* ♥
NOW! MY LOYAL LOKI SUBJECTS! LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE!!
And I shall be all like, "YOU ARE NOT OF NOBLE BIRTH!" And then Margaret will come up behind me and knock me out and be all like, "HE'S LOKI! HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS!!"
*cough*
Then we came across Josh Groban's middle name. It's a really cool one, too. Josh Winslow Groban.
*takes a Pinterest break*
O...hey guys.
I came back.
OMGosh! Colin Morgan, I just found...is Catholic, it seems. I turn to Margaret and say, "NOW THERE IS NOTHING STOPPING YOUR RELATIONSHIP!!!"
I'm awesome.
Wow, so, it is eleven now, and so, I guess I really need to get off the internet and I dunno...GO TO SLEEP.
My inbox for my email is so PACKED with things I have sent to myself. I meant to blog them, I really did. I am getting to that...soon. This particular post will be all the videos. Then I might have one for pics and then one for gifs. It's not everyday that I have an afternoon where I am bored to death. So, this is what I am doing for this afternoon. Hah. Enjoy.
It was like, 11pm when I found this video. I think I watched it twice. It was SO FUNNY! I couldn't believe how great it was! I mean, I have HUGE musical respect for these two, and to see them derping around on stage was awesome. :D
I actually think I sent it to my sister with a bunch of "Rainbow puking" gifs. I was gonna blog those, but I don't really feel like it anymore. Heh. Though...I probably will.
This was a scene that was cut from Doctor Who. I think it may have been when Amy just arrived for good. I thought it was note-worthy because Amy asked him what kind of Gandalf he was anyway, and he responded, "A space Gandalf." Hehe.
I just realized that the Eleventh Doctor is over. I finished him. Aw, now I'm sad. I really went into it as a skeptic because it wasn't David Tennant, but now, I'm gonna miss him.
These few coming up seem to be when I was looking for my favorite piano pieces. Enjoy.
The one link I couldn't get working was Rose's Them from the Doctor Who Soundtrack. That's an epic track. :)
Then I think I went through the Cello phase...
These were REALLY cool though.
I just cannot get these to line up right! Stupid blogger. Frustrating.
These seem to be North and South videos and then just some random videos I found. That Benedict Cumberbatch one is really funny. His David Tennant impression made me somewhat angry...? Haha. It was great though.
This one, "Stay" I think it's called. This was really cool.
Then the proposal, which was radical.
This was amazing. Love this song.
Then we have that video I talked about:
I think, then, I hit like the Japanese Anime theme songs. I have been into those, lately. Like, REALLY.
Then my favorite Naruto Theme. It's from season 2. Called, "Bluebird." I almost know all the Japanese lyrics. Hehe. And then a violin cover that was amazing.
ONE MORE....Piano cover. From the Little Dorrit miniseries. It's awesome. :) I actually have the sheet music to this I think...
So, let me see if I can find anything else that needs to go here.
When a song gets stuck in your head, and it is there every waking minute of your life, and it never, EVER leaves, is it called an Earworm? I think it is. Except, when I think earworms, I think of those creepy things off of Star Wars that crawl into your brains and take control...Ugh. It was in the animated "Star Wars the Clone Wars" show...
ANYWAY! I have had two songs stuck in my head for days on end now. And the biggest problem with it is that one of them is in Italian, and the next is in Spanish. Somehow, the language wall doesn't stop them from entering my brain and dancing around.
The first one is "E Ti Promettero" by Josh Groban, with Laura Pausini, I believe. It is translated to, "And I Will Promise You."
Then we have "Un Alma Mas," another song from Josh Groban. And, I did not know this, off of the same album. Hmmmm...This one has been especially catchy and stuck in my head.
SO there we have it. Both are really awesome songs, no matter what language they are in.
I thought that maybe if I listened to them again, they would get out of my head. Don't ask me why I thought that, I just thought it might work. By the way, it did not.
As I have previously mentioned (I think) I am unable to watch videos during the day. Due to this, I can use the internet freely from 2am to 7am. Today, I was able to be woken up by my kitty (I don't know how he woke me up, the poor baby was sleeping) around 4:30. So I thought, hey, why not get on Youtube and look at as many music videos as I possibly could? That's what I did. Only this time, I have some sort of theme to this post.
"They're more like guidelines anyway."
Nothing like quoting Pirates of The Caribbean before a good Phantom post!!
Now, I am doing this post because, because of my love of Classical vocals and because I have listened to The Phantom of The Opera soundtrack all the way through the 2 dics (this is from the movie version) about every night for the past two weeks. I do a lot of late night writing...So, that keeps me awake. OH THE GLORIOUS REASONS!!
"All I Ask of You." A performance by Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman. This was something I saw weeks and weeks back but have never gotten to getting it on here. I think that Josh sung it better than any Raoul ever...Yeah♥ I have just recently been getting into Sarah Brightman's music...She is pretty good! I have listened to her older albums and I haven't quite gotten to her newer ones...and I haven't really listened to many women Classical singers, but I like Sarah! I think "Gothica/Fleurs du Mal" might be my absolute favorite. Which I might post when I get the time. :)
Another Josh Groban performance. This one is "Music of The Night." I thought he did it amazingly...This was the first time I had heard him do it. His eyes get really big on two parts--fun to watch. Some of the comments said that this was better than Gerard Butler's version. I have listened to the song quite a few times and I have to say, yes. Josh did this very well...The really powerful note ( I think it was "Where you long to be!") was something that Gerard couldn't do completely. I still think Gerard made a wonderful Phantom. His acting and emotions were great. So, don't think I am hating on anyone!! Everyone gets equal amount--okay so that may not be completely true--of love!!
This is Sarah and a guy called Antonio Banderas. I have never heard Antonio sing until this video. I actually haven't heard of him before now...It was a good performance and I was sitting here wondering, is she gonna hit that high note at the end? The videos is almost over...is she gonna hit it? Will she nail it? Well, to my surprise, she did hit it! It was good!! I think that that Phantom is not a role for Antonio because he has more of a Spanish...? vibe about him. I think it's Spanish...I don't know. It was all very dramatic. xD
That's it I believe. If I find anymore, I will try to get them on here!
Okay. Due to internet problems--and my own constant laziness, I haven't been doing much blogging. But I was reading all day yesterday, basically, so I was doing something.
So today's post is going to be different than what I have been previously posting. That meaning: it will probably be full of music videos and maybe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I really don't know.
This song is called "The Bells of New York City." It by Josh Groban. I few weeks ago, I got the "Illumintaions" album from the library. I know that it was an earlier one, but I am not sure what year. Anyway, this was my favorite song from it besides, "War at Home."
I like the part of War at Home when he gets to the chorus, the vocals are awesome! The lyrics, if I can remember correctly are these: "You see these hands they're bruised and brown."
Now this is the lyric video for a song called "Poison and Wine" by my new favorite duo ever, The Civil Wars. Why don't I post the official video? Well, it's a fine video--I check mostly every video before I post it, ya know, try to keep this blog mostly G-rated--but when I posted it, it landed on a... weird spot. SO! If you want to see it, it's in this link. It's a fine video, as I said before. I was hoping that they would do a video like this one. I like the simpler ones with the piano and guitar. It's so much better than what an acted something or another would be.
Maybe one of the facts here is that I cannot play the piano or guitar...even thought I REALLY WANT TOO. Hah. I do have a guitar...but my fingers weren't made for fretting. That's what my mind is for. :D (See, that was a joke.)
Then it's like, "you really gotta get better with the jokes, Mutant."
"I'm laughing on the inside."
I will give a medal to whoever gets that reference.
Okay, so, it's a theoretical medal.
Fine, it was Molly Mahoney and Henry in "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium."
Awesome movie...
Anyway, I went off track there.
Isn't funny that Word will spell-check Aragorn, but it doesn't spell-check Bilbo Baggins? I thought it was funny.
Again, I went of track.
Bad girl. Bad. ~smack~
Then there was this certain thing I wanted to post because I thought it was incredibly epic. Now, I am not so much into pop/rock music and the like, but I am open to any kind of music. The song in this music video totally worked with the whole theme of the show and whoever made this video did a stupid awesome job. I have never seen movement and music combined so well...
I found it on a blog that I think I have posted before. (BTW this is the site.) So, this is what he had to say about it.
I was beyond impressed. Radioactive is the type of song that really gets your adrenaline rushing and the message within really compares well with The Legend of Korra’s storyline. All the sound effects and animation clips fit together well and it looked like the creator really put a lot of time and effort into it.
What he was talking about was a little thing called Legend of Korra AMV (Radioactive).
When I saw this the first time, I kinda chilled over. You know, like you do, when something is completely and utterly awesome. Then, when it was over, and I could talk again, I declared that I was going to blog it.
And I will continue to sing this song for the rest of the day.
I don't know. I love Legend of Korra...so this is just as epic as anything could get.
Man, it's awesome. I think I have watched it 7 times, maybe?
Remember that Christmas movie that came out in 2004 about a train going to the North Pole? The Polar Express? Ya know that since I saw that movie, it has been my FAVORITE Christmas movie? And that the song at the end, "Believe" is my favorite Christmas song of all time?
Well, today, I got an epic face-palm while looking at one of Josh Groban's albums that I got from the Library recently...It was "Live at The Greek" I believe. While I was reading the back to see what songs were on it, it said something to the effect of "and a special performance of Believe." And I am like, "Could it be? Could it be that song from The Polar Express?"
IT.WAS.
So, now I know why I like that song so much. I love it because I loved the words, and whoever sung it did an amazing job. Now I know who sung it...Josh Groban. *YAY* (mutter mutter mutter--FIGURES--mutter mutter mutter)
And that is why, I am such an idiot. I should have known it was him. I should have known. But alas...Dummy Me.
Well, to start this post, this past Wednesday was Josh Groban's Birthday...So, HAPPY BELATED-BIRTHDAY TO HIM!! YOU ARE GREAT! BELIEVE IT! There, now that that is out of my system--been wanting to blog that for days, but I didn't have the time to blog it on Wednesday--we shall continue with our regularly scheduled randomness. Thank you for shopping with us today. ♥
~sigh~ So, things I have accomplished this week include the following:
I have started watching Naruto Shippuden while I continue to read the manga. There was a part in the volume I just finished that really made me sad because I am a total Sakura, Rock Lee shipper..
Rock Lee's reaction to what Sakura told Naruto...Now I don't know why Yamato reacted in the same way...Maybe he liked Sakura too...Lol
But I really REALLLLLLY hope that there is still hope where Hinata is concerned. Naruto and Hinata are so cute together...~sigh~
THEN I believe that Sai tries to make it better. From earlier experiments, it seems that Sai tries SOOOOO hard to make things right and do the right things, and he ends up messing the situation up even more. But he means well, that's why he's awesome. Heh.
Among other things, I drew Sasuke Uchiha, and I finished Love Comes Softly the book. It was really nothing like the movie...but it was really really good, nevertheless.
~sigh~ I am so tired.
My sister sent me another batch of GIFs that she finds on the internet. My favorite is this one, but if you haven't ever seen Gravity Falls, you won't understand it. Same goes for those who haven't seen Korra....
So many GIFs make their way to this blog....LOL.... LOVE THIS
This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to the mall with my sister and mother for their birthday trip. Reasons being that their birthdays are so close together that we celebrate them both on the same day. And every now and then, it’s fun to have a girl’s day out!
I ended up buying two books from this book store. Them being: The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King. I now own The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, and those two!
I had also purchased two music albums last week. Both of them Josh Groban related. The first one, was bought a day after it came out. All That Echoes is his new one. Then I got his Awake album because I love February Song to death and back…They are both stupidly AWESOME! FANTASTIC! STUPENDOUS! GREAT! WONDERFUL! AMAZING! ...Looking for synonyms for Awesome… TREMENDOUS REMARKABLE! INCREDIBLE! Yeah…All that AND a bag of Chips ;) *wink*
THEN! I got this HUGE sketch book that I am going to fill with sketches of Gaara and Zuko…That’s probably what it will end up being filled with…Even if not intentionally…
~sigh~
Well, a couple weeks ago, I had the troubling project of finding a birthday present for my sister. I came up with these little cuties down below. I have to be honest here; the Gaara and Bolin pins are mine. But they were just too cute to pass up! I see the Kakashi one coming to join their little family at some point soon. THEN there were the ones for my sister: the Shikamau Nara one, and the Howl one, of course. The Howl one was bought from a different seller, but all of these buttons were from a lovely little place called ETSY!
THIS IS MY FAVVVVVORITE!!!!!
You can find IcyPanther's shop here. And then Zelas shop: here.
YAY ETSY!!!
Oh! By the way, my new favorite song is called I Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Michael Buble. Blast that baby up to maximum sound in the morning and your day will be excellent. Trust me. His music style reminds me of the musical styling of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy…Again, could listen to his music all day!
There was just one more post for today…
Quote of the day?
“Riddle me this, why did I meet you amongst the garbage?”
I don't know if it is just me, but every time, I mean every time I hear Josh Groban sing, I get goosebumps. He is seriously that good. I love his take on "You Raise me Up." I thought Il Divo sung that beautifully...They both do a seriously spectacular job. Amazing.
This was also totally awesome.
And if all goes well, Saturday I shall begin my Computer buying quest! I am thinking about going to a Best-Buy store and seeing what they have.
It's really muggy here. So I should go for now. But wasn't this weeks' Duets AMAZING!
