The Great Gatsby.

Hello!

So here's the thing. I gave up going to the Library for Lent. That means no new library material every weekend. I haven't put anything on hold, and I didn't send my sister in with a list of books and my card. I don't even go on the trips. I stay at home. There was this one time that I went so I could go to Walmart, and I did have to go into the library to drop things in the return box. This was only because everyone else was too chicken to go inside. (I guess they had fines on their cards and were afraid that the librarians would go super-ninja on em and take their lives.) So zipped up my hood and stared only at the floor as I returned the books. But that was pretty early on.

Since then, I have been holding up to it. I gave it up because it was what I most enjoyed. But now thinking back about it, I should have given up Pinterest. Lol. Maybe next year.

This time has given me a chance to read the books that I bought last summer that have been sitting on my shelf for a year.

One of those books was "Stealing the Preacher" by Karen Witemeyer. I have written about her before and put her work up with high praise. My sister read this book before me (I know, I am ashamed--but I was busy!) and she kept harping me to read it. I finally sat down on Sunday and began.

This particular story follows Crockett Archer, rancher turned Preacher as he travels in the hopes of gaining a Preaching position in a neighboring town. Things don't go exactly as planned, and he runs into Joanna Robbins. Joanna has been looking for a parson to start up the church that has for so long been quiet. She wants this so that she can save her Daddy's soul.

(Silas Robbins was pretty against preachers because of some sad, horrible back-story that I won't include.)

In the end, it all works out perfectly--though there are SO many challenges. Some of them almost made me cry. It was really good.

We have seen Crockett Archer in "Short-Straw Bride," so it was easy to enjoy him once again. He's no Travis, haha, but a great character. Margaret claimed that he winked--to anyone and everyone, practically--about 45 times all together. So as I read it, it was more almost 20 times than 45 times.

Lovely book, if you are into Historical Fiction, I highly recommend it.

There isn't much in terms of fandom with these kinds of books. Unless you count the middle-aged Amish women that read them. I can understand reading the regular novels, but what gets me is that they also read the Beverly Lewis stuff. (I never cared much for the "Amish novels" as my brother calls them. I prefer the cowboys.) I don't understand, because, don't they live that kind of life? Why would they need to read about it? Though, now thinking about it, I am sure there is more drama in it.

Eh, who am I to judge.

SOOOOOO...anyway!! I finished it today, so I started the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Thus far, it's a book about this guy named Nick who went to visit some rich friends of his who he really didn't know at all.

Daisy is crazy.

Miss Baker is equally strange.

We have yet to see Gatsby.

So far, it's pretty good.

Wow. That's a load of text up there.

Well.

I may be back, though we are nearing Easter so there is much to be done. David Tennant's birthday is on Good Friday this year, so I don't know if I will post something about that...on that particular day. It's really quiet around here on that day....

sigh...

I may come tomorrow.

Middle Names

So, it's almost eleven o'clock and Margaret and I are talking. I am half falling asleep and we get to the subject on favorite names. Conversation being,

"I like the name David," I say.

"Yeah, I don't think it's my favorite, but yeah," Margaret replies.

"Yeah." I say. "Though it could just be that I adore David Tennant."

And Margaret is like, " David. John. McDonald."

(For those who don't know, McDonald is David's real name. xD)

Somehow, we ended up wondering about actor's middle names.

Then, a few minutes of silence pass and then I grab my glasses and say, "Come on, let's go look it up."

And here we are!

Results!

Benedict Cumberbatch, when looked up, is Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch. I thought this was kinda neat 'cause my kid brother's name is Timothy.

Then we came to Tom Hiddleston, and GEEZ OH MAN GUYS! Could his name be any more...dapper! Thomas William Hiddleston. Like, it's the perfect middle name for this guy. It's like a prince. Prince Thomas William Hiddleston. *shivers* ♥

NOW! MY LOYAL LOKI SUBJECTS! LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE!!

And I shall be all like, "YOU ARE NOT OF NOBLE BIRTH!" And then Margaret will come up behind me and knock me out and be all like, "HE'S LOKI! HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS!!"

*cough*

Then we came across Josh Groban's middle name. It's a really cool one, too. Josh Winslow Groban.

*takes a Pinterest break*

O...hey guys.

I came back.

OMGosh! Colin Morgan, I just found...is Catholic, it seems. I turn to Margaret and say, "NOW THERE IS NOTHING STOPPING YOUR RELATIONSHIP!!!"

I'm awesome.

Wow, so, it is eleven now, and so, I guess I really need to get off the internet and I dunno...GO TO SLEEP.

Goodnight world of internet.

Adieu, adieu, remember me.

Who Wants to Watch Videos?

My inbox for my email is so PACKED with things I have sent to myself. I meant to blog them, I really did. I am getting to that...soon. This particular post will be all the videos. Then I might have one for pics and then one for gifs. It's not everyday that I have an afternoon where I am bored to death. So, this is what I am doing for this afternoon. Hah. Enjoy.

It was like, 11pm when I found this video. I think I watched it twice. It was SO FUNNY! I couldn't believe how great it was! I mean, I have HUGE musical respect for these two, and to see them derping around on stage was awesome. :D

I actually think I sent it to my sister with a bunch of "Rainbow puking" gifs. I was gonna blog those, but I don't really feel like it anymore. Heh. Though...I probably will.

This was a scene that was cut from Doctor Who. I think it may have been when Amy just arrived for good. I thought it was note-worthy because Amy asked him what kind of Gandalf he was anyway, and he responded, "A space Gandalf." Hehe.

I just realized that the Eleventh Doctor is over. I finished him. Aw, now I'm sad. I really went into it as a skeptic because it wasn't David Tennant, but now, I'm gonna miss him.

These few coming up seem to be when I was looking for my favorite piano pieces. Enjoy.

The one link I couldn't get working was Rose's Them from the Doctor Who Soundtrack. That's an epic track. :)

Then I think I went through the Cello phase...

These were REALLY cool though.

I just cannot get these to line up right! Stupid blogger. Frustrating.

These seem to be North and South videos and then just some random videos I found. That Benedict Cumberbatch one is really funny. His David Tennant impression made me somewhat angry...? Haha. It was great though.

This one, "Stay" I think it's called. This was really cool.

Then the proposal, which was radical.

This was amazing. Love this song.

Then we have that video I talked about:

I think, then, I hit like the Japanese Anime theme songs. I have been into those, lately. Like, REALLY.

Then my favorite Naruto Theme. It's from season 2. Called, "Bluebird." I almost know all the Japanese lyrics. Hehe. And then a violin cover that was amazing.

ONE MORE....Piano cover. From the Little Dorrit miniseries. It's awesome. :) I actually have the sheet music to this I think...

So, let me see if I can find anything else that needs to go here.

Nope! I think that is everything!

Yay!

I shall be back with pics and gifs!

Doctor Who at Comic Con 2009--Bonus Feature Screenshots

The other day, I believe it was actually two days after Christmas, we watched the last of David Tennant on Doctor Who. Before that, while we were waiting for holds to be filled, we ended up watching two seasons of Matt Smith before we even saw the last final episodes of the Tenth Doctor. When we were done with that, we kind of needed something so that we didn't go away completely depressed. That's when we found the bonus features.

These shots I snipped out of the whole Comic Con segment because I found them the most humorous.

They were taking questions:

Random Guy: I’m sad to see you go. But is there any possibility that you would come back for some charity specials or even a movie?

I think, in reality, David Tennant is a REAL Timelord. He had seen this in the future and then had come back to deny it at Comic Con so that no one would know that he was a Timelord in real life.

My theory is without fail. Yeah.

In one of the pictures, I had drawn a little red arrow because I couldn't get over the look on Russel's face. Then the one under it, David looks a bit panicked. Haha.

Then he's all. "Don't Twitter that."

Classic.

I red arrowed this one because he was pouting. Pouting. Hahaha.

The only thing my mind could think of was a sad gif of Chris. The Ninth Doctor was really awesome. I mean, everyone who comes here knows that Ten is my favorite, but I really did like Christopher Eccleston. He was great. :)

Naw, you know what, Chris would look more like this:

"Pfffft."

I was going through my Doctor Who screenies and found this one.

That was from the episode when Martha Jones came in. And, for me, it was the second episode of  Doctor Who I had seen... :) He was talking about Benjamin Franklin and electricity. Let me see if I have the whole thing.

GOODY I DO!

Yes, well, now I have to go. This has been the second post of 2014! Doctor Who and The Hobbit. What a way to start another year on the blog.

Be back soon!

I'll Be Home For Christmas.

 Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

So, the bad news is that we shall not be going to midnight Mass because we are getting lake effect snow and the roads are horrible. There were maybe two reports about car pile-ups and they each had at least twenty cars. So, we shall be going to the morning mass. (That is if the weather holds.) No Christmas carols for me. :(

I don't understand why the weather has to do this...I mean, three days ago, on the first day of Winter, it was almost 70 degrees. And I was like, WAY TO GO, OHIO! GREAT FIRST DAY OF WINTER.

Apparently the winter fairies didn't approve of my...sarcasm.

And I had gotten my pretty blue dress all ready.

Darn.

On the bright side, I have made over twelve different kinds of cookies. I just finished six dozen a little bit ago, so I don't know what the official cookie count is. It has to be over fifteen dozen...I'll list 'em all later. After Christmas.

And then this song came to mind...though the meaning is not what my circumstance is...I'll Be Home For Christmas by Lady Antebellum. I love the first note of this song. Charles Kelly is amazing.

So, I want to wish all my bloggies a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY BLESSED NEW YEAR!!!

Oh! Also, today is the last day I can say that Matt Smith is the Doctor. I have seen the first two seasons with him and though he is not David Tennant (I'm squealing, if you can't hear me. Seriously. I've got it bad. Hehehehehe) he was kind of awesome. 11 is just kind of funny and adorable. People had often compared him to a baby giraffe...They're so right. ♥♥ I can't wait to see Peter take a whack at being the Doctor. ♥♥

These are the Questions.

Question #1:

If I never watch the last two episodes of David Tennant's reign, does that mean that the Tenth Doctor never dies? Does that mean that I will not have to live through that pain?

Something David Tennant.

This was David Tennant:
Well done, David.

And this was me:

*dreamy sigh*

Anyway! The 50th is TOMORROW! I cannot wait! Cannot wait! I have seen some pictures on it, and out of all the things, what I really want to know is why isn't his hair sticking up like usual? I asked that myself while checking my email this morning...or was I doing dishes? I don't know. But then I was all, "YOU KNOW WHAT? I BET IT WAS MATT SMITH! HE DID THAT TO HIS HAIR!! BLAAAHHHHHH." *ragequite everything I was doing*

But seriously. He seems so much older and...serious.

Imma go cry now because I don't have BBC America.

Oh, and also, The Legend of Korra Book 2 is ending tonight. :(

#MONTHOF10 Tuesday, #4

Hey everyone, I am back! See? And I have brought gifs! Gifs! Yay!

I had been bog-slacking and I guess I could blame school and library books and Doctor Who...yeah, my argument is getting nowhere...

Hehe.

HAH! This was amazing. I love Donna. She questions everything and her attitude is GREAT. Here, she asked him what made him in charge...or something along the lines of that. Saw that episode last night, I did. It was Volcano Day. 9 had warned them about going there on Volcano day. Did they listen?

One of my favorite Doctor/Donna moments :)

This was awesome. It was a little hard to keep up with what they were saying, but I did it, nevertheless. And when I find this clip on the internet, I will post it. I know, it's not a gif, but it was funny, and I have just started Series 4 and I can relate now. :D

So, I may have more pictures than gifs...well, another day with the gifs I suppose...

Ten :) #DoctorWho

I am going to post this and not care what anyone thinks. Hah. Because I love it. :)

Oh dear...

Yeah. That was awesome. Apparently he's not the only one with a sonic-device...I am so thick sometimes...

This is my favorite.

Don't know what the face is about...*lol* but this is funny because there have been two more of my favorite actors that have turned 42 this year...I think it's funny how all of them are like, twice, three times my age. But, I am still able to fangirl over them...And in my defense, half of them act like they are 6! Oh, these goofballs.

Now, I don't think David Tennant was ever Arthur Dent...but he did wear his pajamas for an entire episode once, and he said he was very much like Arthur Dent. Then I'm like, "OH NAW WAY? YOU MET HIM?" Then I was like, but he's a fictional character....headcannon. Yeah.

Then you flip out because you have read the book and you know whats going on. I am going to read those books again because, gosh, they are confusing the first time around.

Yeah. SO. When explaining this to parents... :)

Promise?

Okay...I am going to go back to my room and cry now.

here is a good pic. of the doc. overreacting

THE COOKIES!!! (See, here is another with cookies...now I want one. Geez.)

SO, that is it for #MONTHOFTEN.

I don't know why I use hashtags. They are only good on Twitter...

Have an awesome day!

#Monthof10 Post 3.

Hey everyone! So, as you can probably tell, I changed my blog up a little bit! I have tried to update the look of it every year or so, and the last time I changed it was sometime in October. So, it was about time I changed it for the upcoming year. The blog went from original green, to blue, to light brown. I don't know...I like it. What do ya'll think? ^.^

Anyway! I didn't come here to blab on and on about my blog, no! It is Tuesday! And that means! 5 NEW TENTH DOCTOR RELATED THINGS!!! Then! we will have 5 MORE on Thursday! Yay!

 Here we go!

Doctor

Oh my gosh, I laugh hysterically whenever I see something like this. He was all excited with the hopes that he may have been Ginger, and when he asked Rose (I can't remember the exact words) she said something like, "No. It's just sort of...brownish." He was SO disappointed . :) My favorite part of the episode where Ten came in was when he was listing off a bunch of personality traits and wondering which ones he had. He came to the conclusion that he was "Not Ginger AND Rude." And he had asked Rose on...two occasions if what he did was rude. :)

Always turn it into a compliment

First episode of Doctor Who I saw was the Christmas special that introduced Donna for the first time. And even though Martha came after that, we got Donna again in the fourth series. :) I absolutely love her attitude. Oh gosh.

On the 50th anniversary show...

Ohhhhhh Kuzco.

YES.

I am not ashamed to say yes. Yes it is. :)

He makes the best faces!

HAHAHA YES!!! I was hoping that I would find a thing that had every single face he made!!! HAH!!! Oh, Timelords have very stretchy faces....I love this more than I should....I think.

And that does it for today. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Because I did....~cheeky smile~

Have a goodnight everyone.

#MONTHOF10 Post 2.

I'll make my intro short. I have 10 images of the tenth Doctor ready to post. Some days we'll have funny ones, sometimes we will have serious, fact-filled ones. I might just post pictures with no words. Yay!  OH I HAVE GIFs TOO!! I just remembered that....~Smiles wide and scary like~

These are some that my sister sent to me. A lot of the stuff she sends me ends up on here...

I have seen a lot of other pictures where they have him with cookies. I don't really know why, for they have never been mentioned before. I have seen this episode (OMgosh it was funny) and he was actually trying to get the alien, and he had a steak in his hand.

This is TOTALLY my reaction to that song. Ugh. Thank you, Doctor.

I saw this one the other day too! I was all freaking out and like, "Hey! HEY! It's....he's.....HAH THAT'S BRILLIANT!" Hehe xD

It's a little blurry...

I love David Tennant <3

Gahh. I just wanted to post this cuz it is just too darn cute. Haters and judger-s can just keep scooting. :D

<3 <3

Hah. I literally say this every day. This was a pretty cool episode. Anthony Head was in it. I freaked out then, only because I recognized him. And he is a pretty good actor. In the one after this episode, Angel Colby was in it. Now we are just waiting for Colin Morgan! That will make an excellent Merlin/Doctor Who post. Except, I cannot do one without Bradley James...and I don't know if he was in any of Doctor Who.

This was from the same episode I was referring too a second ago. It was called, "School Reunion," I believe. Oh, when I get to college, I am so getting up there and saying that. And anyone who gets my reference will be my best friend. xD

Love this. The shoes, the expression and the fact that he simply walked on top of the seats and then stood there.

So now, I must go. I love this BTW. :D

I cannot wait for next Tuesday!

#MONTHOF10

This is the first day of October. What did I discover on the internet today? Well! October is the month of the 10th Doctor.

SO! To celebrate, I am going to post things on every Tuesday and Thursday of the month (because they both start with "T" like "Ten") that are only related to the Tenth Doctor.

ANNND this will be especially fun because this one is my favorite Doctor and David Tennant  is my favorite too. So there.

I did however, start the Ninth Doctor last night. Oh my gosh, he is great. There are some scenes where it is so obvious that he regenerated into 10 and 11. He is portrayed by Christopher Eccleston. My sister and I did some IMDB digging and found out that he is in Thor: The Dark World. He is doing
Malekith the Accursed. WHO, we figured out, is this guy:

\I just used my same screen. I guess he does have a name and it's not "Hockey-masked guy."
BUT THAT IS GOING TO BE AWESOME AND NO ONE CAN DENY IT!!!!!!!!

I need to go eat dinner now. It's almost 7.

Goodbye my friends. I will post more of 10 later. Yay.

~Natsu~
