I'll Be Home For Christmas.

 Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

So, the bad news is that we shall not be going to midnight Mass because we are getting lake effect snow and the roads are horrible. There were maybe two reports about car pile-ups and they each had at least twenty cars. So, we shall be going to the morning mass. (That is if the weather holds.) No Christmas carols for me. :(

I don't understand why the weather has to do this...I mean, three days ago, on the first day of Winter, it was almost 70 degrees. And I was like, WAY TO GO, OHIO! GREAT FIRST DAY OF WINTER.

Apparently the winter fairies didn't approve of my...sarcasm.

And I had gotten my pretty blue dress all ready.

Darn.

On the bright side, I have made over twelve different kinds of cookies. I just finished six dozen a little bit ago, so I don't know what the official cookie count is. It has to be over fifteen dozen...I'll list 'em all later. After Christmas.

And then this song came to mind...though the meaning is not what my circumstance is...I'll Be Home For Christmas by Lady Antebellum. I love the first note of this song. Charles Kelly is amazing.

So, I want to wish all my bloggies a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY BLESSED NEW YEAR!!!

Oh! Also, today is the last day I can say that Matt Smith is the Doctor. I have seen the first two seasons with him and though he is not David Tennant (I'm squealing, if you can't hear me. Seriously. I've got it bad. Hehehehehe) he was kind of awesome. 11 is just kind of funny and adorable. People had often compared him to a baby giraffe...They're so right. ♥♥ I can't wait to see Peter take a whack at being the Doctor. ♥♥

How We Love by Ingrid Michaelson

I have listened to Ingrid's "Human Again" album probably over 36 times. And that is all the way through. I guess that I am not satisfied until I know all the words to every song without looking at the lyrics...ever. But one of the BEST songs on the WHOLE thing is How We Love.

It is a nice change from the constant Christmas music that is playing in every room of the house. I swear, there is a radio in the kitchen, and then the siblings have a radio in each of their rooms. Like, I don't even know where they dug up these radios, but there they are! At least each of them are on different channels...*sigh* Can you believe that Christmas is so close? I can't. I hope that the weather holds so we can go to midnight mass this year. O Holy Night BETTER be included this year. Last time, it was sorely missed. I was so mad.

And if they do exclude it, I will go up into the choir loft and sing it myself, DANGIT.

So long.

Songs That I Loved and Then Hated at The End.

Hi everyone! I know it has been a while since I have written, but I really haven't had much to blog about. I want to thank my new follower for the follow! My brother knows him and had apparently showed him my Whiteboard drawings...Maybe I should do more of those..? People seem to like them. I showed my mother and she almost passed out laughing. And I was like, "Mom...they aren't that funny." Meh.

Anyway, while I am listening to my brothers belt "Go Tell it on The Mountain" at the top of their lungs, I want to post these two songs that I have heard recently that I was really digging until I heard the lyrics near the end.

The first one is "Blue Ridge Mountain Song" by Alan Jackson. I loved this one, and I still love it even though it's well...yeah. HORRIBLY SAD.

The next one is a song by Ed Sheeran called "Small Bump." I loved this song while I was listening to it. I was reading the lyrics while I was listening, and then, my eyes caught the end words before the music caught up and well, I was bawling my eyes out for the rest of the song. LISTEN TO THE LYRICS! You'll smack me later for ruining your day.

I found the Official video.

OH THAT MAKES IT WORSE OH STOP NO THE SADNESS OH NOES WHY!!???

But, that is all I have for now. I may come up with more whiteboard stuff. Yay.

So long. The Hobbit: DOS is ALMOST HERE! And Christmas is coming too!

I AM *SUCH* AN IDIOT!

Now I will explain why.

Remember that Christmas movie that came out in 2004 about a train going to the North Pole? The Polar Express? Ya know that since I saw that movie, it has been my FAVORITE Christmas movie? And that the song at the end, "Believe" is my favorite Christmas song of all time?

Well, today, I got an epic face-palm while looking at one of Josh Groban's albums that I got from the Library recently...It was "Live at The Greek" I believe. While I was reading the back to see what songs were on it, it said something to the effect of "and a special performance of Believe." And I am like, "Could it be? Could it be that song from The Polar Express?"

IT.WAS.

So, now I know why I like that song so much. I love it because I loved the words, and whoever sung it did an amazing job. Now I know who sung it...Josh Groban. *YAY* (mutter mutter mutter--FIGURES--mutter mutter mutter)

And that is why, I am such an idiot. I should have known it was him. I should have known. But alas...Dummy Me.

Take a look, you'll thank me later. Heh.

~sigh~

Have a great evening.

Dragons and Christmas Lights.

Recently I was able to see Dreamwork's How to Train your Dragon when it premiered on the FX channel the day after Thanksgiving.

It was actually really, really good! I hadn’t expected to it to be as good as it was. I had however, heard some things about it. Like it was a lot like Brave and all this stuff. But to me, it really wasn’t like Brave at all!

The only things that I thought were similar would have been Hiccup’s father design and the point that they did have the accents...But other than that, I got nothing.

All in all, it was amazing. I liked the story, and the humor was good. The character design was awesome when it came to Toothless, ( Toothless was SO INCREDIBLY CUTE!) and they picked the perfect actor for Hiccup. He would be Jay Baruchel.

Jay was on The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, (a movie that I had seen before Dragons...I was watching it and thinking, “Oh man, he sounds so familiar…Kind of like Hiccup from the Dragon show. (However, I had only seen commercials for the Cartoon Network series, that’s the only way I really knew the voice. Does that make sense? ;) ) That sentence kind of drifted away into its own creation. Moving on…

The reason that this all came to mind is first, I wanted to post about it anyway because it was so cool, and second, because last night I began reading a book called Eragon.

Eragon so far, reminded me of How to Train your Dragon. I think it was because he had found a dragon egg and was keeping it a secret. Much like Hiccup did…But Eragon is so cool so far. More to come, more to come…

Anyway! Now for the light portion of this…Heh. (Hope I have the right video here.)

I am kind of actually really excited about this up and coming holiday! Christmas! And to top of the Christmas music the minute Thanksgiving is over, we have Christmas lights!

My favorite part would have to be the glowing green cactus…There are some parts where it is just blinking alone. One day I am going to do this with my Christmas lights...It will be stupendous…

Well. Other than that, we have moved on to Season 1, volume 2 of Naruto. In the Manga, however, we are somewhere in the middle of book 33. It has been cool, if not cooler, than the first part of Naruto. But that’s all I talk about these days…That or I am obsessing over writing Dialogue…

Ah, so you didn't get my joke.

Well! Yesterday night I was spinning around on an office chair while watching Episode V of Star Wars. I was talking to the television saying, "Vader, just say, 'I am your father' and then I can go to bed!"  So, long story short, Vader and Luke were fighting and Vader was breathing really hard.

So of course, it's my place to make a lame joke. I turn to my sister and say, "Hey, you know what? He's breathing so hard. He's hyperVADERlating!"

I get dead silence. Then I'm like, "COME ON THAT WAS GREAT!!"
Then I get, "dude, that was insulting." And I'm like, "NO WAY THAT WAS GENIUS!!"

My dad thought it was funny anyway. Or was it more of a pity laugh....Aw Man...

Sorry for not posting in so long. I made a promise to myself to not turn on the computer until I finished all my writing books...Eh....Still not there. I broke my oath. What a terrible girl-scout I would make. Lol.

But my real reason for writing, is that I found a picture on the internet that I thought was awesome and totally true. I could rant on about how I am a terrible artist and I have 3 blank canvases up in my room--Yeh...Let's get that picture, shall we?

That about summons it up I think. ^.^

Well, to update a different post...We lost the Gingerbread contest. It was pathetic and whiny...Yeah...It was kinda depressing, but now that I look back at the thing...It wasn't very well executed....

 Ah. It socked.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!! ♥

 -Updated a few minutes later-

I thought this was awesome for some reason...

OK. I am tired apparently. BUT I HAVE THE CAFFEINE PATCH! I HAVEN'T SLEPT IN EIGHT DAYS!  (To those who hear the words "Meet the Robinsons" and scream, "BAKE THOSE COOKIES LUCILLE!" For I am one of you. :) )

I'll write anyway.

So, I spent most of my afternoon talking a walk through a forest, digging through a pile of broken glass--and finding cool bottles that really were inspiring if you look at them through the eyes of a writer--then took some time to walk across the yard with my eyes closed. And it is true. You cannot walk in a straight line when you are blind-folded!

At the moment now, however, I am trying to find ways to create creative Fantasy names for stories I am currently working on/starting. I saw a huge tree today and a whole bunch of ideas started streaming into my mind.

Other than that,  it seems as though I am watching Christmas movies, and I will be making Spaghetti for dinner later in the hour.

What I really wanted to post was this HERE. Pachelbel Bedtime I think it's called. I saw this a couple years ago and it was really cool. But I saw it again today and decided to blog about it. :)

Well, I must go, my hands need lotion and a break from typing.

See ya'll later in the new week.

My fate was changed because I was BRAVE.

Yesterday my Dad took some of the family to the theaters to see Disney/Pixar's Brave. That was my first time in a movie theater, so it was very exciting. It was a lot bigger and quieter than I thought it would be. We had to walk through a few halls that were completely covered with carpeting. It was dark except for some lights here and there. I felt like I was in NCIS, on my way to go get questioned for something I didn't do. ;)

As for BRAVE...It was AMAZING! The animation was awesome. The music was awesome. Merida's HAIR was AWESOME! The wet hair and wet fabric was awesome. The story was good. The fighting sequences were a lot more intense then what I am used to seeing from Pixar. But it was enjoyable and I have to admit that I did jump a couple times during the bears' kerfuffle. Everything was very enjoyable. There where only like 2 parts that were kinda awkward for reasons I would rather not um...I had heard that the humor was much like Dreamworks. And it was...Pixar OUTDID itself on Brave. The scenery, animation, characters, everything. Loved it and I would TOTALLY recommend it. Good family movie. I think that I will end up getting the DVD and memorizing every line WITH the accents. ♥

We tried to come up with a moral to the story. Came up with, "Don't trust a witch," and, "Don't turn you mum into a bear."

Afterwards we went and had Linner, or Lupper, or Dunch or Dupper, or whatever you call Lunch/Dinner, at Pizza Hut. That was--as far as I can remember--my first time there as well! The pizza was really good. And the setting was all brick and black and white checkered table clothes. Very classy.

All in all, it was a very good day. Near the end of it I got gut-rot on Whoppers. Those things are like seriously addicting. The malted stuff inside makes them very filling.

Well, there are CHRISTMAS movies on the Hallmark channel which is awesome...and I need to do research on the history of Idaho...That should be fun. Heh.

 Have a good, muggy, weekend.
